Mercari Regulation
Mercari operates multiple OTC market structures:
- intermediated and disintermediated; and
- licensed and other.

Mercari’s OTC markets for financial products are overseen by ASIC and operate in accordance with the conditions and regulations, both stated and implied, of Mercari’s Australian Market License (AML) granted in May 2005, Mercari’s Australia Financial Services License (AFS No: 229935) granted in July 2003 and the Corporations Act of Australia.
Mercari holds the only AML to operate official OTC markets in interest rate derivative products. Mercari is also subject to regular annual reviews of its licensed operations by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC).
Mercari’s environmental markets, based on products developed by Envex, operate outside the ambit of Mercari’s AML.
